Best time to visit Sapa?
You can visit Sapa all year around. However, the best time to travel to Sapa is from June - early October which is the rice season and the weather is good. Especially, you will see amazing rice terraces.

Getting there and away
1. You can take overnight train from Hanoi - Lao Cai for around 8 hours then another hour by bus from Lao Cai - Sapa. The train can save your traveling time, but it is not so comfortable and you can not sleep much on the train.

2. The best way now is to take tourist bus or pay for a private transfer from Hanoi which takes around 5 hours in daytime. You can see beautiful sceneries on the way.

3. From Sapa, you can continue your Vietnam tour with extension trip to the northwest like: Sapa - Lai Chau - Dien Bien - Son - La - Mai Chau - Hanoi or to the northeast like: Sapa - Bac Ha - Ha Giang - Dong Van - Meo Vac - Ba Be Lake - Ban Gioc Waterfall - Bac Son Valley - Ha Long Bay - Hanoi.
