Things to know when traveling in Vietnam

1. Vietnam visa is a problem. The visa fee is expensive and people hate waiting in a long queue at the airport for getting the visa on arrival stamped.  Moreover, the customs officers are not friendly.
2. Being followed by streets vendors almost everywhere in major tourist attractions. (Old quarter in Hanoi, Sapa, Ho Chi Minh City)

5. The hotels have no window or fake window. This happens especially in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Mini hotels has no window in lower floors.
6. Drivers use cell-phone when driving.
7. It is hard to understand the tour guides' English (especially in the central and southern part)
8. Local people ask for tips, more tips in an impolite ways.  
9. Domestic flights got delayed without prior notice.
