Longer visa waiver for European tourists

2016 was successful year for Vietnam tourism with around 10 million arrivals and Vietnam tour operator could easily find that more and more tourists from UK, Germany, Spain, Italy and France traveled to Vietnam last year, which shows that loosing Vietnam visa procedures, tourists come.

To make Vietnam as a great destination compared to other countries in the region, tourism association in Ho Chi Minh city has just proposed the government to extend the longer visa waiver for the above-mentioned nationalities. At present, it is 15 days (no visa needed), but if it is extended to 20 days to 30 days. More tourists will choose Vietnam for their next destination.

The association also added that Indian and Australian should be added in the list.

Vietnam visa has long been an issue to Vietnam tourism. Although there are improvements with procedures, but the cost of Visa is still high which makes tourists consider to choose Vietnam for extended tour or the next holiday.
