Vietnam honeymoon destination, Da Lat is located in the central highland of Vietnam at Lam Dong province, and about 200km far from the northeast of Ho Chi Minh City. It was founded in 1897 when Doctor Alexandre Yersin recommended that this area could be developed as a resort town.

Valley of Love in Da Lat
The Valley of Love is in the temperate central highlands of Vietnam. It’s cool temperature attract natives and tourists to the area. The highest temperature in the summer is 25 C!.
At first it was called Valley d’Amour by the French, under Bao Dai time, it was changed into the Valley of Peace. In 1953, when Nguyen Vy, the chairman of the town council at the time, proposed conversion of the famous names from French into Vietnamese language in order to demonstrate independence of the nation, the name “Valley of Love” was born.
In 1972, thanks to build a large dam crossing the valley created a large lake called Da Thien Lake. Since the valley became more romantic, increased attractiveness for tourists and especially for couples in the country. Visitors can go along the trail or climb hundred grade levels, go through the gate with brightly colored flowers to hill Vong Canh. From here, the Valley of Love likes a beautiful painting, alive with sails on the lake.
The love valley is one of the most beautiful and romantic landscapes in Da Lat city. Previously, the visitors often go to the Dong Thien Vuong road to arrive here, nowadays, visitors can travel there by Lam Vien a new road.
The rounded red dirt roads can take guests up the hill or the top of the Lanbiang mountain.
Guests can also pass a small bridge to explore the “Dia Ban” hill, an ideal location is surrounded by lakes. It is very convenient for fishing or chatting in white balconies. Bao Dai's Summer Palace
Bao Dai was the last emperor/king of Vietnam and ascended to the throne in 1926. He was only 12 years old at that time. With a reputation as a man who enjoyed parties and the good life, Bao Dai spent a good amount of time in Dalat.
His summer palace was made up of three imperial buildings with the part called Dinh 3 being the best known and most visited. Built in 1933, the restored palace is still furnished with a lot of its original furniture and fittings and offers a rich insight into the life of the royal resident. The parts that are open for the public are the emperor’s throne, office and bedroom, dining room and the empress’s quarters. Many portraits and sculptures of the royals are on display too. Photography is not allowed inside the building.
Prenn waterfall
It is located at the foot of Prenn Pass, on the road from Ho Chi Minh City to Dalat. Prenn is one of the water falls retained the pristine of the Highland mountains.
You will have to pass through a small bridge over the stream to the waterfall. Forest birds chirping, the sound of the wind creates exciting sounds fun of her songs to welcome visitors.

Pongour Fall
In the 1920s, after surveying the rivers and streams across the continent three countries (Indochina) Vietnam – Laos – and Campuchia, French researchers regarded the Central Highlands as the “land of the beautiful waterfalls.”
According to the local language, Pongour means Rhinoceros horns, so the name meaning “huge” is with the breath of thousands of red-earth highlands. Yet until, Pongour still lives secretly in deep forests. This fall has majestic height of a 14-storey building; its width is more than twice the length of a football field. It is located in the primeval jungle; only trails are enough for just hunter’s foot. In the past, to go to these falls, people must go through many difficulties, but in 1999, Pongour jungle was opened. Located in Tan Hoi commune, Duc Trong district, 45km to Da Lat, it is about 7km from Highway 20. Travelers give Pongour nickname “The first Southern extraction waterfall first Southern extraction”. According to legend, the waterfall was attached to Ka Nai’s story, she was a beautiful chief. She had great contribution to K’Ho’s life. Ponguor has a festival waterfall on the fifteenth day of January, nowadays it has become one of the spring days of the youth in Da Lat – Lam Dong with many popular games, and traditional rituals of the local people.
Dalat Flower Park
The flower park is located at 2 Phu Dong Thien Vuong St., Dalat City, Lam Dong Province, which leads from Xuan Huong Lake to Dalat University. Dalat Flower Park is famous for its diverse species of flowers.
It is considered a natural museum that houses a fine collection of native and exotic flowers. The park consists of at least 300 different kinds of flowers, hundreds of which are in blossom all year round.
Land
Bus
Dalat’s long distance bus station is 1km south of Xuan Huong Lake, although many private services will (if asked) pick up and drop off at the hotel of your choice. Services are available to most of the country, including several to HCMC, Phan Rang and Buon Ma Thuot .
Dalat is a major stop for open-tour buses. Sinh Café has a daily bus to Mui Ne (US$7, 5½ hours).
Car & motorbike
From HCMC, taking the inland (Hwy 20) route to Dalat via Bao Loc and Di Linh is faster than taking the coastal route (Hwy 1A) via Ngoan Muc Pass.
The following are road distances from Dalat: Di Linh (82km), Nha Trang (205km), Phan Rang (108km), Phan Thiet (247km) and HCMC (308km). There are secondary roads connecting Dalat to Buon Ma Thuot and other parts of the central highlands.
Air
Vietnam Airlines has daily services that connect Dalat to HCMC and Hanoi. Dalat’s Lien Khuong Airport is located 30km south of the city.
