Ban Gioc Waterfall

Picturesque Ban Gioc Waterfall on the Quay Son River located in Cao Bang Province near the Sino-Vietnamese border. The waterfall is around thirty meters and separated into three falls by rocks, trees, and the thundering effect of the water hitting the cliffs that can be heard kilometers away from Trung Khanh district.

How to get to Ban Gioc Waterfall
From Hanoi, it is advised to book a northeast loop tour to explore the this beautiful region including Ba Be Lake, Ha Giang and Ban Gioc waterfall. It will take 4-5 days or more. However, if you want ti see Ban Gioc waterfall only, it will take at least 2 days from Hanoi. Below is our suggestion:

Day 2: Hanoi - Cao Bang - Ban Gioc (about 8 hour drive)
Day 2: Ban Gioc waterfall - Nguom Ngao cave - drive to Hanoi (8 hours).

Best time to visit
Dry season will be good time when it is cool, but the best time should be in summer time from around June - September when it rains sometimes and the falls are big. Great to swim and take photos.
