The film crew spent most of time on filming scenes in the wild-fresh Van Long Nature Reserve where is called "Ha Long Bay on land". Van Long continuously appears on the big screen throughout the segment that the expedition go to Kull Island and the unwanted battle with giant Kong and monsters here.
