For tourist visas, travelers can apply for the following types of visas:

American citizens can apply for a tourist visa one year multiple entry.

For commercial visas, visitors can apply for a 3-month visa several times or 6 months multiple times.

Question 3: Can I go to Vietnam airports to apply for a Vietnam visa?

For many countries, visa applications are accepted at the airport. However, there are no invitation services at international airports in Vietnam. Some of the airports in the world require travelers to present invitations when checking in. So travelers need to apply for an invitation letter before checking in to Vietnam.

Question 4: Where can I get an invitation letter?

Apply for an invitation letter at a Vietnamese embassy: Visitors can visit the Vietnamese Embassy directly in the host country to request an invitation. The procedure will be guided by embassy staff.

E-visa: From July 2020, visitors from 80 countries and territories around the world are invited to electronic invitation at the portal of the Vietnam Immigration Department: https: //evisa.xuatnhapcanh /. There is no charge for this type.

Get an invitation from a visa service provider in Vietnam: you can send a request for an invitation and pay the corresponding fees on the websites of visa service companies in Vietnam. 

Question 5: What information do I need to provide to apply for an invitation to enter Vietnam?

The procedure for obtaining a Vietnam tourist visa is very simple. Guests need to provide information such as the type of invitation, the full name listed in the passport, date of birth, nationality, passport number, date of issue, expiry date. An important note is that the passport term must be over 6 months.

Question 6: How long will it take me to get an invitation to enter Vietnam?

Typically, visitors only take 1-2 business days to get an invitation to enter Vietnam. For e-visa visitors, the time can be from 3 to 5 working days.

Question 7: After I arrive at the airport, what should I do to get a visa?

After arriving at the airport, visitors come to the immigration check-in counter at the airport to fill in the entry procedures.

The steps are as follows

- Present your passport

- Presenting official dispatch.

-  Fill out the form following the instructions of the immigration officer

- Paying the entry fee as prescribed in Vietnamdong or USD (25 USD for one-time and 50 USD for many times). Visitors who already have an e-visa do not need to pay a fee.

Question 8: If I forget to apply for an invitation letter when I come to Vietnam, what should I do? as well as many other companies provide emergency visa services with the following levels:

- Urgent 1 hour.

- Urgent 4 hours.

- Urgent outside working hours.

The procedures for requesting urgent invitations are similar to those for ordinary invitations, but the cost to the customer will be higher depending on the type of urgent Vietnam visa that the customer requires.

Question 9: What do I need to prepare to get a visa when I come to Vietnam?

Guests are required to print the invitation (black and white version) issued with the original passport and 02 4cmx6cm photos to be stamped on the passport. Passport required to have enough pages to stamp.

Question 10: If I stay in Vietnam beyond the prescribed date, what should I do? 

The visitors over the prescribed date of exit printed on the passport will make it difficult for visitors to exit. Guests will be fined an amount corresponding to the number of days past due. However, if you want to extend the visa, you can hold a passport to the Immigration Department for visa extension or can ask the visa extension company to do it. This procedure takes 7-10 days.
